Euclid space mission exhibition

All throughout June 2019 : Exhibition ’Euclid: a European satellite to crack the dark energy mystery

In 2022, Euclid will be launched by the European Space Agency (ESA). Using its instruments, Euclid will study the expansion of the Universe and uncover the nature of the dark energy that seemingly drives this cosmic acceleration.


The exhibition will highlight a variety of aspects about this extraordinary mission, from the instrument’s construction to the preparation from the analysis of results. The exhibition will also offer an artistic vision on this grand exploration. The preview of the exhibition will take place at 12:00 Tuesday 28th May in the Galerie BU-BU Sciences


A BARCAMP workshop will take place on 12:30 Tuesday 28th May in the hall of the BU Sciences. Observational cosmology PhD students, from the Institut de Physique Nucléaire de Lyon, will give brief presentations of their research.


A meeting with researchers and artists will talk place between 16:00 - 18:00 Tuesday 28th May in the conference room of the BU Sciences, where researchers and artists will discuss the Euclid mission.
