Astronomers of Corps National des Astronomes et Physiciens (CNAP) at CRAL proposes further trainings for teachers and support to projects related to astronomy. The variety of the proposed actions aims to encourage teachers to use astronomy to enrich their teachings of physics.

Widely multidisciplinary, astrophysics has an strong attraction on young people that allow an novel approach of science teaching. Physics and maths of course but also chemistry, Earth science or geography are related to astronomy.

A set of formations for teachers are proposed by CRAL: continuing training registered in the Plan Académique de Formation (PAF), monthly workshops as well as accompanying supports for lesson and cultural activities, for classes à Projet Artistique et Culturel (classes à PAC), EPI (Enseignements Pratiques Interdisciplinaires), etc.

Astronomers at CRAL also ensure help and continuous monitoring of projects involving astronomy. They provide guidelines for building astronomical equipments.

Fondamental experiments of physics and astrophysics are made available at CRAL. Using them and guided by researchers, pupils, students and teachers can experience and practice to understand the basics of the physics.
