The University Claude Bernard Lyon 1 fosters international collaboration with specific universities abroad, and in partciular India. Also the ENS de Lyon and the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune have signed a framework agreement.
To encourage and develop high-level scientific relations between France and India, we are carrying out Franco-Indian student/researcher scientific exchange programs between the University Claude Bernard Lyon 1 (UCBL1), Lyon, France and renowned institutes in India like the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and the Inter University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune. The Franco-Indian Exchange Program may offer an opportunity of interactions in Astronomy and Astrophysics at master, PhD, postdoctoral and faculty levels between research teams and students from our laboratory CRAL and thos institutes in India. This program aims to promote long-term cooperation in the field of Astronomy and Astrophysics.
Under this Franco-Indian Research Exchange Program we are regularly organizing joint schools, workshops, research project collaboration visits, etc. as described below.
